This 304 stainless stamped steel swivel caster mounts into socket holes using threaded, grip ring, or expanding adapter stems. The double ball bearing swivel rides on polished smooth raceways with an open design that removes the dust cap and grease fitting for unobstructed water drainage after cleaning. The swivel assembly uses a 1/2″ diameter rivet and the wheel is mounted on a 3/8″ diameter axle. Capacity up to 350 lbs per caster depending on wheel and stem type; we recommend 1,000 lbs max on a set of 4. NSF listed and RoHS compliant for cosmetics manufacturing, personal care product facilities, and chemical blending operations.
High Temperature Wheels with a prefix “NP” in the part number are made of nylon mixed with glass fiber. The high temperature caster wheel “NP” is designed for moist heat applications only. This wheel performs best in smokehouses, moist heat bakery and autoclave applications, and around water and steam such as pressurized steam-autoclaves. The High Temperature Glass-Filled Nylon wheel has a hard surface and should be used on smooth floor surfaces. The temperature range of these high temperature caster wheels is up to 425°F for 30 minutes MAXIMUM continuous operation. High Temperature Glass-Filled Nylon wheels are not recommended for dry heat applications because once the moisture content of the wheel gets to zero, the wheel will shatter. It is always best to shield High Temperature Wheels from a direct heat intake source. Caster City can furnish high temperature glass-filled nylon wheels in either a plain bore, with a straight roller bearing, or with an oilite bronze bearing sleeve for high temperature applications. Ideal for smokehouses, steam autoclaves, and moist heat bakery operations.
