Description

4″ All Polyurethane Wheel. Brake Locks both the Swivel and Wheel Shown in photo with 5″ wheels. This Total Lock Stainless Steel plate swivel 3A caster is our stainless steel total locking light duty industrial caster which uses the same 1-¼” wide wheels as our standard Model 3. This caster is made using a stamped steel construction. This plate caster uses a ⅜” diameter axle and the swivel caster raceway is held together by a ½” diameter rivet. Plate Caster Model 3A  caster brackets have two rows of ball bearings rotating on raceways for smoother swiveling. This plate caster comes standard with a dust cap to cover the swivel bearings. This plate caster performs best if you limit the load to no more than 1200 lbs on a set of 4 Model 3A casters. The Total Locking Stainless Caster Model 3A is excellent for medical equipment.

This solid all polyurethane industrial caster wheel was developed for sanitary and washdown applications, and is capable of rolling indoors or outdoors. The blue all polyurethane (“AP”) caster wheel is manufactured in 1-¼” and 2” wide; with diameters ranging from 3”-5” and 4”-8”. Caster City manufactures this (“AP”) blue all polyurethane wheel to come with a roller bearing, delrin bearings, or a sealed precision ball bearing and all bearing options are available in stainless steel as well. The temperature range of this industrial caster wheel is -50°to 180° F and the durometer of the polyurethane is Shore 60D.

These wheels are non marking and non conductive. The absence of a metal center eliminates bond failure as a cause for wheel replacement. These caster wheels are especially suited for use with stainless steel casters in wet and corrosive applications. They are designed for use in Pharmaceutical Laboratories, Hospitals, and Food Processing Plants – wherever a clean sanitary design is desired. These wheels are not recommended for applications involving shock, overloading, abuse, obstructions, poor floors, or for storage (standing) loads. Hardness is 60 – 65 Durometer Shore D. Temperature range is -20° to 180° F.

These wheels are designed for use in a wet environment and they eliminate the possibility of tire separation.
