Description
Built for washdown environments where standing water in the swivel is unacceptable, the Economy Stainless Steel Model K3 Stem Caster from Caster City features 304 stainless stamped steel construction with a double ball bearing swivel on polished smooth raceways. The open design eliminates the dust cap and grease fitting, letting water drain completely after cleaning. This stem caster mounts into equipment socket holes and is available with threaded, grip ring, or expanding adapter stems. A 1/2″ diameter rivet secures the swivel assembly and a 3/8″ diameter axle holds the wheel. Load capacity up to 350 lbs per caster depending on wheel and stem type with a recommended limit of 1,000 lbs on a set of 4. NSF listed and RoHS compliant for commercial kitchens, food plants, and lab equipment with tubular legs.
High Temperature Phenolic caster wheels are a hard composition, non-marking wheel that is made mostly out of glass fibers. The “TP” high temperature caster wheel was designed for dry heat only – it will fail if your application is moist heat. Caster City has designed this wheel for dry heat applications only; if your application calls for moist heat select the Glass Filled Nylon “NP” caster wheel. The temperature range is up to 475°F for continuous use, and 525°F for intermittent use. High Temperature Phenolic wheels make an excellent choice for your bakery or oven application. These wheels have a hard surface and should be used on smooth floor surfaces – rough floors or obstructions will reduce the service life of the wheels. The “TP” high temperature phenolic caster wheel can come with a roller bearing, plain bore, or oil-impregnated sintered bronze bearing for high heat service. Ideal for heat treating facilities, curing ovens, and industrial baking operations.
