Description
The Economy Stainless Steel Model K3 Stem Caster from Caster City combines affordable stainless steel construction with a stem mount designed for socket-hole installation in wet and corrosive environments. Manufactured from 304 stainless stamped steel, this swivel caster is available with threaded, grip ring, or expanding adapter stems. The double ball bearing swivel section features polished smooth raceways with an open design–no dust cap, no grease fitting–preventing standing water in the bearing area after washdowns. A 1/2″ diameter rivet secures the swivel assembly and a 3/8″ diameter axle supports the wheel. Handles up to 350 lbs per caster depending on wheel and stem type; recommended limit 1,000 lbs per set of 4. NSF listed and RoHS compliant for airport catering kitchens, in-flight meal preparation, and airline food service equipment with socket-type mounting.
Phenolic caster wheels are a hard composition, non-marking wheel that is excellent for large loads that do not move often. This phenolic caster wheel can not develop flat spots and the wheel is capable of withstanding the impacts of small obstructions or shock loads. Phenolic is not a good choice if your application exposes the wheel to excessive water, oil, and other chemicals – phenolic can slowly absorb this over time and fail. This caster wheel comes with either a roller bearing or precision sealed ball bearings. This phenolic caster wheel has a temperature range of -40°F to +250°F and a Durometer of Shore D 90. Ideal for die storage racks, tool room equipment, and infrequently moved heavy fixtures.
