The Model 9 Rigid Caster is the matching plate caster for the Model 9 Swivel. When manually operating equipment supported by 4 swivel casters it can be difficult to maintain the direction of push or pull. Rigid casters are used to assist in controlling direction during straight line travel. Equipment with rigid casters can not move sideways. Rigids are usually installed at the opposite end from the push handle. Leg thickness is 1/4″ with an axle diameter of 1/2″, designed to accept wheels with a 2 7/16″ hub width. Constructed from stamped steel, rigid casters can support more weight than swivel casters because there is no offset, but both are shown with the same capacity on our website. Ideal for solar panel manufacturing, semiconductor equipment, and cleanroom support carts. Additional mounting plate sizes and wheel bearing types are available on request. A 304 Stainless Steel construction is also available for corrosive environments.

The Water Fighterâ„¢ caster wheel identified by the “WF” prefix is Caster City’s answer to polyurethane wheel failure in wet environments. Water destroys standard polyester polyurethane through a chemical process called hydrolysis, where water molecules attack and break the ester bonds in the polymer chain. The Water Fighter is manufactured with polyether polyurethane that contains no ester bonds for water to attack. This blue-on-gray non-marking wheel has a 2″ wide polyurethane tire mechanically bonded to a polyolefin core. Durometer Shore D60. Operating temperature from -30°F to 180°F. Available in 4″, 5″, 6″, and 8″ diameters. Up to 500 lbs capacity per caster. Chemical resistant with precision sealed ball bearings. Ideal for pool and spa equipment, waterpark maintenance carts, and aquatic facility transport.
