The Stainless Steel Model 9 rigid caster by Caster City is manufactured from 304 stainless stamped steel with an electrolytic finish, providing exceptional corrosion resistance and directional stability for wet and harsh facilities. The 1/2″ stainless steel axle with a grease fitting makes wheel changes straightforward. Mounting plate is 4″ x 4-1/2″ with a bolt pattern of 2-5/8″ x 3-5/8″, slotted to 3″ x 3″. Capacity up to 1,250 lbs per caster. Hand powered only on smooth floors, no inclines over 3 degrees, speeds under 3 mph. NSF and RoHS compliant for cosmetics manufacturing, aquaculture processing, and hospital supply transport.
The Water Fighter™ caster wheel with a prefix “WF” in the part number is manufactured by Caster City using polyether polyurethane chemistry that is inherently resistant to hydrolysis. Standard polyurethane wheels use polyester chemistry with ester linkages that are vulnerable to water attack, causing the wheel to soften, crack, and eventually fall apart. The Water Fighter uses polyether chemistry where the ether linkages have no point for water molecules to attack, making this wheel dramatically more durable in wet environments. This 2″ wide blue-on-gray polyurethane tire is mechanically bonded to a polyolefin core. The durometer is Shore D60 and the temperature range is -30°F to 180°F. Available in 4″, 5″, 6″, and 8″ diameters with load capacities up to 500 lbs per caster. This wheel is non-marking and chemical resistant. Equipped with precision sealed ball bearings. Where standard polyurethane wheels may fail in months in wet service, the Water Fighter provides years of reliable performance. Ideal for food processing facilities, marine environments, and outdoor storage yards.
