Technical Specifications

Description
Model G15 with Rigids is the same plate caster for the G15 Swivel. When moving equipment manually supported by 4 swivel casters it can be hard to control the direction you are pushing or pulling. Rigids help in controlling machinery being moved in direct line travel. Equipment with two/both rigid casters can not move sideways. These type of casters are usually equipped at the opposite end of the push handle. They have 2 legs horizontal to the mounting plate. Leg thickness is 1/4”. The diameter axle is 1/2” and is built to use wheels with a hub width of 2 7/16”. This rigid caster is built from cold forged steel. Rigid Casters can carry more load than swivel casters because they do not have an offset. Nonetheless, on our website both rigid casters and same swivel casters are shown with the same load capacity. We have other mounting plate options available and wheel bearing types are available on request.
*This Plate Caster Model G15 contains the Red Crown Polyurethane on Iron with Precision Sealed Ball Bearing in the Wheel. The caster shown in photo with 6″ wheel.

FAQ
What is the Plate Caster Model G15 with PCI Crown Tread Polyurethane on Cast Iron Core Wheel, and what’s it used for?
The Plate Caster Model G15 with PCI Crown Tread Polyurethane on Cast Iron Core Wheel is a kingpinless industrial caster shipped from Texas, Ohio, or Washington, designed for robust performance with a capacity of up to 2,500 lbs per caster, suitable for both manually moved and mechanically powered equipment. It features a precision machined swivel bearing with a heat-treated raceway and no center pin, ensuring easier swiveling, reduced vibration, and longer trouble-free performance. The caster includes a zinc-plated steel frame (with a stainless steel option that is NSF and ROHS compliant), 1/4″ thick legs welded inside and out, a 1/2″ diameter axle with a locking nut, and grease fittings for all moveable parts to facilitate maintenance. It supports a top plate of 4″ x 4-1/2″ with 3/8″ mounting bolts, accommodating 2″ wide “PCI” wheels in 4”, 5”, 6”, and 8” diameters with overall heights of 4” x 2” = 6”, 5” x 2” = 7”, 6” x 2” = 8”, and 8” x 2” = 10”. The “PCI” wheel’s Flex Compound polyurethane elastomer (85 Shore A durometer), chemically bonded to a heavy cast iron core, provides a semi-cushioned ride, excellent floor protection, and a crown tread that reduces surface friction for easier turns and rolling effort. It’s ideal for material handling carts, warehouse equipment, and other industrial settings requiring a durable, low-effort solution.
