Description
Caster City’s Economy Stainless Steel K3 Stem Caster combines 304 stainless stamped steel construction with a stem mount that inserts into equipment socket holes for tool-free installation. Available with threaded, grip ring, and expanding adapter stems. The swivel section uses two rows of ball bearings on polished smooth raceways with an open design–no dust cap or grease fitting–to promote complete drainage after washdown procedures. A 1/2″ diameter rivet secures the swivel assembly and a 3/8″ diameter axle carries the wheel. Load rated to 350 lbs per caster depending on wheel and stem type; recommended limit 1,000 lbs per set of 4. NSF listed and RoHS compliant for commercial dishwashing stations, pot wash areas, and warewashing equipment.

The glass filled nylon “NP” high temperature caster wheel can only be used in moist heat applications. The high temperature caster wheel made from glass filled nylon is a hard and brittle material which should only be used on smooth flat surfaces. This wheel performs best in smokehouses, moist heat bakery and autoclave applications, and around water and steam. The temperature range of these high temperature caster wheels is up to 425°F for 30 minutes MAXIMUM continuous operation. High Temperature Glass-Filled Nylon wheels are not recommended for dry heat applications because once the moisture content of the wheel gets to zero, the wheel will shatter. It is always best to shield High Temperature Wheels from a direct heat intake source. Caster City can furnish high temperature glass-filled nylon wheels with a plain bore, straight roller bearing, or oilite bronze bearing sleeve. Ideal for pressurized steam-autoclaves, moist heat bakeries, and food processing facilities.
