Description
The Stainless Steel Model 3 Swivel Stem Caster by Caster City delivers sealed bearing performance and stainless steel construction for equipment in environments where frequent washdowns and corrosive conditions are routine. Made from 304 stainless stamped steel with a buffed smooth reflective finish. Mounts via a stem into socket holes and is available with grip ring, threaded, expanding adapter, or square and round metal stems. The swivel features polished stainless raceways, two rows of ball bearings, high-temperature white seals rated -20°F to 450°F, a grease fitting, and a dust cover. A 3/8″ diameter axle with lock nut supports the wheel and a 1/2″ diameter rivet secures the swivel assembly. Up to 350 lbs per caster depending on stem type. Uses 1-1/4″ wide wheels. NSF listed and RoHS compliant. Ideal for wastewater treatment equipment, hose-down environments, and biopharmaceutical washdown zones with socket-type mounting.

This caster wheel can handle the impacts of small obstructions and shock loads, as well as being unable to develop flat spots if left immobile with a high static load. Phenolic is capable of absorbing chemicals and water if it is given excessive exposure – if your application is wet consider a different wheel. Caster City has designed this wheel to either have a precision sealed ball bearing or a roller bearing in the wheel. A phenolic wheel has a temperature range of -40°F to +250°F and a Durometer of Shore D 90. Ideal for mold storage, pattern storage, and heavy display equipment.
