The Economy Stainless Steel Model K3 Stem Caster from Caster City is a swivel caster built from 304 stainless stamped steel for wet and corrosive environments. This stem caster mounts directly into equipment socket holes instead of using a bolt-on plate. Available with threaded, grip ring, and expanding adapter stems for versatile installation. The double ball bearing swivel section features polished smooth raceways and an open design–no dust cap or grease fitting–allowing water to drain freely after washdowns. A 1/2″ diameter rivet holds the swivel assembly together and a 3/8″ diameter axle accepts your choice of wheel. Load rated up to 350 lbs per caster depending on wheel and stem type. Caster City Phenolic wheels are a hard composition caster wheel which are non-marking in nature, making them excellent for supporting heavy stationary loads for long periods of time. This caster wheel can handle the impacts of small obstructions and shock loads, as well as being unable to develop flat spots if left immobile with a high static load. Phenolic is capable of absorbing chemicals and water if it is given excessive exposure – if your application is wet consider a different wheel. Caster City has designed this wheel to either have a precision sealed ball bearing or a roller bearing in the wheel. A phenolic wheel has a temperature range of -40°F to +250°F and a Durometer of Shore D 90. Ideal for mold storage, pattern storage, and heavy display equipment.
