Plate Caster Model 9 Rigid Caster is the matching rigid caster for the Model 9 Swivel. When equipment is manually moved on 4 swivel casters it can be difficult to control the direction you are pushing or pulling. Rigid casters assist in controlling equipment being moved in straight line travel. Machinery with rigid casters can not travel sideways. Rigid casters are typically attached at the opposite end from the push handle. Leg thickness is 1/4″ and the 1/2″ axle diameter is designed for wheels with a 2 7/16″ hub width. The caster is constructed from stamped steel. Rigid casters are rated to handle more weight than swivel casters because there is no offset, but on our website both rigid and swivel casters are shown with the same capacity. Ideal for concrete plants, aggregate operations, and masonry supply yards. Other plate sizes and wheel bearing types are available on request. This caster is also manufactured in 304 Stainless Steel for wet or corrosive applications.
The “WF” Water Fighterâ„¢ caster wheel by Caster City is a polyether polyurethane wheel engineered specifically for constant moisture exposure. Standard polyurethane uses polyester chemistry that is vulnerable to hydrolysis — water breaks the polymer chains, causing progressive failure from surface softening through tread separation. The Water Fighter’s polyether chemistry contains no vulnerable ester linkages, making it inherently resistant to water-induced breakdown. This blue-on-gray wheel features a 2″ wide non-marking polyurethane tire mechanically bonded to a polyolefin core. Durometer Shore D60. Temperature range -30°F to 180°F. Available in 4″, 5″, 6″, and 8″ diameters. Capacity up to 500 lbs per caster. Chemical resistant construction with precision sealed ball bearings. Ideal for brewery operations, bottling facilities, and beverage production where floors are constantly wet.
