Rigid Model 9 is the matching plate caster for the Model 9 Swivel Caster. When moving equipment by hand with 4 swivel casters it can be hard to control the direction of travel. Rigid casters help in controlling direction when equipment is being moved in a straight line. Equipment with rigids can not move sideways. Rigid casters are usually equipped at the opposite end of where the push handle is placed. The leg thickness is 1/4″ with a 1/2″ diameter axle designed to accept wheels with a 2 7/16″ hub width. Made from stamped steel, this rigid caster carries more weight than the swivel because there is no offset, yet both are displayed with the same capacity on our website. Ideal for HVAC equipment, plumbing supply warehouses, and electrical contractor shops. Additional mounting plate sizes and wheel bearing types are available on request. A 304 Stainless Steel version is also offered for corrosive or washdown environments.

Caster City’s “WF” Water Fighterâ„¢ is a water-resistant polyurethane caster wheel that dramatically outlasts standard polyurethane in wet and humid environments. Standard polyester polyurethane wheels suffer from hydrolysis â€” water molecules attack the ester bonds in the polymer, causing the wheel to progressively soften, crack, and fall apart. The Water Fighter uses polyether polyurethane that eliminates this vulnerability entirely. The ether linkages in polyether chemistry provide no attack point for water. This 2″ wide blue-on-gray tire is mechanically bonded to a polyolefin core. Shore D60 durometer. Operating temperature -30°F to 180°F. Available in 4″, 5″, 6″, and 8″ diameters with up to 500 lbs capacity per caster. Non-marking and chemical resistant with precision sealed ball bearings. Ideal for greenhouse operations, nursery transport carts, and outdoor garden center equipment.
