The Stainless Steel Model 9 rigid caster by Caster City puts corrosion resistance and directional stability at the forefront with the industry standard 4″ x 4-1/2″ plate. Manufactured from 304 stainless stamped steel with an electrolytic finish, this rigid caster uses a 1/2″ stainless steel axle with a grease fitting for easy wheel swaps. Bolt pattern is 2-5/8″ x 3-5/8″, slotted to 3″ x 3″. Load capacity up to 1,250 lbs. For hand powered applications on smooth floors, inclines under 3 degrees, speeds below 3 mph. NSF and RoHS compliant for convection oven racks, proofing cabinets, and commercial smokehouses.
Caster City’s Water Fighter™ “WF” caster wheel is built to resist hydrolysis — the number one cause of premature polyurethane wheel failure in wet environments. Standard polyester polyurethane wheels break down from water exposure, progressing from surface softening to cracking to chunks of tread tearing away. The Water Fighter uses polyether polyurethane chemistry that is inherently immune to this type of water damage. This 2″ wide blue-on-gray tire is mechanically bonded to a polyolefin core. Shore D60 durometer. Temperature range -30°F to 180°F. Available in 4″, 5″, 6″, and 8″ diameters with load capacities up to 500 lbs per caster. Non-marking and chemical resistant with precision sealed ball bearings. Where standard polyurethane may last 6 to 12 months in constant wet service, the Water Fighter delivers multiple years. Ideal for fish processing plants, wet production floors, and dock equipment.
