Model G15 with Rigids is the identical plate caster for the G15 Swivel. When transporting equipment by hand supported by 4 swivel casters it can be hard to control the direction you are pulling or pushing. Rigids help in controlling machinery being moved in direct line travel. Equipment with two/both rigid casters can not move sideways. These type of casters are usually equipped at the opposite end of the push handle. They have 2 legs horizontal to the mounting plate. Leg thickness is 1/4”. The diameter axle is 1/2” and is built to use wheels with a hub width of 2 7/16”. This rigid caster is built from cold forged steel. Rigid Casters can carry more load than swivel casters because they do not have an offset. Nonetheless, on our website both rigid casters and same swivel casters are shown with the same load capacity. We have other mounting plate options available and wheel bearing types are available on request.

This Plate Caster Model G15 introduces our kingpinless industrial casters, equipped with a precision-machined, enclosed swivel bearing. This design ensures excellent performance for both manual and powered equipment, offering smoother swivel rotation, reduced vibration, and extended durability in high-heat applications like powder coating. It includes a 2-inch wide, high-temperature ductile steel wheel paired with a single-piece C954 tin bronze bearing (3/4″ ID x 1-3/16″ OD x 2-3/16″ L), capable of enduring temperatures up to 1300°F, while the wheel itself is rated for 800°F. Crafted from high-grade ductile steel with a 45,000 psi tensile strength, it supports loads up to 1,500 lbs in harsh environments like foundries, steel mills, and sandblasting operations. The zinc-plated, corrosion-resistant frame enhances longevity, and lubrication fittings simplify maintenance. The kingpinless, enclosed swivel bearing resists clogging from powders or particulates, ensuring reliable operation. With high-temperature grease, this caster delivers over a decade of maintenance-free performance on tracks or flat surfaces in extreme heat.
