Plate Caster Model 3 Rigid is the matching rigid plate caster for the Model 3 Swivel. The top plate is 2-3/8″ x 3-5/8″ with a 1-3/4″ x 3″, slotted to 1-3/4″ x 2-7/8″ for 5/16″ mounting bolts. This rigid caster features a 3/8″ diameter bolt axle with a locking nut and accepts 1-1/4″ and 1-1/2″ wide wheels. This caster is welded leg construction. Multiple wheel and brake options are available. When pushing or pulling equipment manually with 4 swivel casters it can be hard to manage the direction of travel. Rigids assist in controlling equipment being moved in direct line travel. Equipment with rigid casters installed can not move sideways. Ideal for school furniture, library carts, and audiovisual equipment. This plate caster is NSF listed. A Stainless Steel Model 3 version is also available for wet or corrosive environments.

The soft blue ergonomic rubber “BL” is an ergonomic rubber wheel capable of supporting above average load ratings with a highly resilient tire. This caster comes with a blue, non-marking, injection molded thermoplastic rubber tire mechanically bonded to a polyolefin center. The tire is made of copolymer rubber with excellent elastic properties. What makes this elastomer special is its ability to bounce – resilience in a wheel material is a necessary feature in order to protect the cargo being moved. These ergonomic rubber industrial caster wheels are non-marking, quiet, absorb shock (prolonging equipment life and protecting cargo), can roll over small objects, protect costly floor surfaces, and minimize vibration. They provide a softer ride than polyurethane and yet withstand exposure to many chemicals and solvents.
