Description
Model 3 Swivel Casters are stamped steel plate casters finished with bright zinc plating for corrosion resistance. The mounting plate is 2-3/8″ x 3-5/8″ with a 1-3/4″ x 3″, slotted to 1-3/4″ x 2-7/8″ for 5/16″ mounting bolts. The caster uses a 3/8″ diameter bolt axle with a locking nut and a 1/2″ diameter rivet holds the swivel together. Two rows of ball bearings on hardened raceways ensure smooth and reliable swivel operation. A metal dust cover shields the swivel raceways from dirt and dust contamination. This caster features wheels with 1-1/4″ and 1-1/2″ tread widths. Ideal for fitness center equipment, gym storage carts, and recreation room furniture. This zinc plated caster is NSF listed. A Stainless Steel Model 3 version is also supplied for wet or corrosive applications.
This cushion gray rubber caster wheel is an injection molded non-marking thermoplastic rubber tire mechanically bonded to a polyolefin center. The “RQ” cushion rubber wheel features a softer 60A durometer compared to standard gray rubber wheels, providing superior shock absorption, noise reduction, and vibration dampening. These extra soft rubber wheels are non-marking, quiet, and protect costly floor surfaces while providing excellent cushioning for sensitive equipment and cargo. The softer compound absorbs more impact energy than standard rubber, making it ideal for protecting delicate instruments and electronics during transport. This wheel is equipped with a sealed precision ball bearing. Cushion rubber wheels should not be left standing under load for extended periods as the tires may develop flat spots. Ideal for laboratory equipment, sensitive instrumentation, and institutional applications where maximum vibration isolation is required.
Caster City also manufactures this plate caster in Economy Stainless Steel Plate Caster Model K3. Constructed with S304 stainless steel and comes with no dust cap or grease fitting on the swivel making it economically efficient for most applications.
