Caster City’s Economy Stainless Steel K3 Stem Caster is built from 304 stainless stamped steel for stem-mount applications where corrosion resistance and washdown readiness are essential. This swivel caster mounts into equipment socket holes with your choice of threaded, grip ring, or expanding adapter stems for fast installation. Two rows of ball bearings on polished smooth raceways provide smooth swiveling while the open design without dust cap or grease fitting allows complete water drainage after cleaning. The swivel uses a 1/2″ diameter rivet and the wheel is mounted on a 3/8″ diameter axle. Load rated to 350 lbs per caster depending on wheel and stem; 1,000 lbs max on a set of 4. NSF listed and RoHS compliant for herb drying operations, tea blending facilities, and botanical extract processing equipment.
Phenolic caster wheels make an excellent, low cost choice for supporting high standing loads that move infrequently. Phenolic can not develop a flat spot if left parked for a long period under load, and the wheel is capable of withstanding shock loads and the impacts of small obstructions. Phenolic wheels are a hard composition, non-marking wheel designed for supporting large loads comparable to a metal wheel. Phenolic can absorb water and other chemicals if excessive exposure occurs, so this wheel is best suited for dry environments. Phenolic caster wheels come standard with a roller bearing and have precision sealed ball bearings as an option. All phenolic wheels have a Durometer of Shore D 90 and the temperature range is -40°F to +250°F. Ideal for warehouse storage equipment, manufacturing floor carts, and heavy stationary fixtures.
