The Stainless Steel Model 9 Caster with Water-Resistant Polyurethane on Polyolefin Wheel is a robust industrial stainless steel caster built for corrosive, wet environments requiring hygiene and longevity. Crafted from 1/2-inch thick stamped 304 stainless steel, it includes a 5/8-inch nut and bolt kingpin welded for manual use, supported by two rows of ball bearings for axial and thrust loads, and equipped with lubrication fittings in the swivel bearing and 1/2-inch stainless steel axle. With a capacity of up to 1,200 lbs per caster, it features a 4 x 4-1/2-inch mounting plate (bolt hole pattern 2-5/8 x 3-5/8 to 3 x 3 inches), and provides swivel lock and total lock brake options, ideal for food service, bakeries, and laboratories.
This caster features a 2” wide water-resistant polyurethane tire, mechanically bonded to a polyolefin core, available in 4”, 5”, 6”, or 8” diameters and maroon-on-gray or blue-on-black colors. The non-marking, injection-molded polyurethane wheel, with a Shore D60 durometer, operates from -30°F to 180°F and supports up to 900 lbs per caster. It rolls smoother than gray rubber on even surfaces, resists many chemicals and solvents, and avoids cracking and discoloration, which can reduce wheel lifespan and strength. Bearing options are only zinc precision sealed ball bearings (FOR NOW!). It’s not suitable for shock, overloading, abuse, obstructions, poor floors, or prolonged static loads.
