Description

4″ Red Full Crown Polyurethane on Iron Wheel. Roller Bearing Size shown in photo is 6 x 2.Choose Threaded Stem or Plain Round Stem Above

Stem Casters Model G15 have the highest capacity ratings of all our model stem casters. Most of the time G15 stems are bought with a threaded stem. We offer both ¾” and 1” diameter threaded stems. The weight on a stem caster with thread is presumed to be supported on the top of the turn bearing, not on top of it on the thread stem. This means this stem caster was not built to be used as a leveling device. It is recommended you fully thread this caster to your application. Plain round stems are the other type of stem available with G15 Stems. Plain round stems are held inside tubing by drilling a hole through the tubing and the stem, followed by installing a bolt through the cross hole. They include: : ¾”, ⅞”, 1”, and 1-⅜”. G15 should be used only in hand powered applications. They are ONLY crafted in a swivel caster design. There is no lock or rigid option. All the same, a wheel brake can be provided but keep in mind that these casters are not built to hold weight on an slope.

FAQ

What is the Heavy Duty Stem Caster G15 with PCI Crown Tread Polyurethane on Cast Iron Core Wheel, and what’s it used for?

The Heavy Duty Stem Caster G15 with PCI Crown Tread Polyurethane on Cast Iron Core Wheel is a robust industrial caster shipped from Texas, Ohio, or Washington, designed for heavy-duty applications with a capacity of up to 1,500 lbs per caster, suitable only for infrequently moved manual applications with no abuse. It features precision machined swivel bearings with a heat-treated raceway and no center pin, ensuring easier swiveling, reduced vibration, and longer trouble-free performance. The caster includes 1/4″ thick legs welded inside and out, a 1/2″ diameter hollow bolt axle with lock nut, and a zinc-plated finish for rust resistance, with zerk grease fittings for swivel and wheel bearings to facilitate maintenance. It offers fastener type options: threaded stems (TST1: 3/8″ – 10 x 2 1/2″, TSS7: 3/4″ – 10 x 4 1/2″, TST2: 1″ – 8 x 2 1/4″, TSC7: 1″ – 8 x 4″, TST8: 1″ – 8 x 8″ Long) and plain round stems (RDL2: 3/4″ x 4″, RDL3: 7/8″ x 4″, RDL4: 1″ x 4″, RDL5: 1 3/8″ x 4″), supporting 2″ wide “PCI” wheels in 4”, 5”, 6”, and 8” diameters with overall heights of 4” x 2” = 5-7/16”, 5” x 2” = 6-5/16”, 6” x 2” = 7-5/16”, and 8” x 2” = 9-5/16”. The “PCI” wheel’s Flex Compound polyurethane elastomer (85 Shore A durometer), chemically bonded to a heavy cast iron core, provides a semi-cushioned ride, excellent floor protection, and a crown tread that reduces surface friction for easier turns and rolling effort. Threaded stems should not be used as leveling devices, and capacity ratings assume weight is directly on the swivel bearing. It’s ideal for manually moved equipment like material handling carts and warehouse setups on dry factory floors, with optional brakes for added safety. Contact us at sales@castercity.com or 800-501-3808 for tailored recommendations.

What’s the load capacity of the Heavy Duty Stem Caster G15 with PCI Crown Tread Polyurethane on Cast Iron Core Wheel?

The Heavy Duty Stem Caster G15 with PCI Crown Tread Polyurethane on Cast Iron Core Wheel supports up to 1,500 lbs per caster under ideal manual conditions (up to 3 mph on smooth floors) for infrequently moved applications with no abuse, with the “PCI” wheel offering up to 1,000 lbs capacity. The crown tread enhances rolling ease, but capacity ratings are based on weight directly on the swivel bearing, and threaded stems should not bear weight above the bearing. Exceeding this limit or using it with powered equipment may reduce capacity—contact us at sales@castercity.com or 800-501-3808 for specific ratings.

What wheel sizes are available for the Heavy Duty Stem Caster G15 with PCI Crown Tread Polyurethane on Cast Iron Core Wheel?

The Heavy Duty Stem Caster G15 with PCI Crown Tread Polyurethane on Cast Iron Core Wheel accommodates 2″ wide “PCI” wheels in 4”, 5”, 6”, and 8” diameters, with overall heights of 4” x 2” = 5-7/16”, 5” x 2” = 6-5/16”, 6” x 2” = 7-5/16”, and 8” x 2” = 9-5/16”, tailored to the stem mount configuration for a semi-cushioned, low-effort ride.

What materials are used in the Heavy Duty Stem Caster G15 with PCI Crown Tread Polyurethane on Cast Iron Core Wheel?

The Heavy Duty Stem Caster G15 with PCI Crown Tread Polyurethane on Cast Iron Core Wheel features a zinc-plated steel frame for rust resistance, 1/4″ thick legs welded inside and out, a 1/2″ diameter hollow bolt axle with lock nut, and fastener type options (threaded and plain round) for secure mounting. The “PCI” wheel has a non-marking Flex Compound polyurethane elastomer tread with a crown design and 85 Shore A durometer, chemically bonded to a heavy cast iron core, providing durability and floor protection. Zerk grease fittings ensure maintenance ease—contact us for additional material details.
