Plate Caster Model 9 Rigid is the matching plate caster for the Model 9 Swivel. When hand moving equipment on 4 swivel casters it can be tough to manage the direction of travel. Rigid casters assist in controlling equipment being moved in a straight line. Equipment with rigids installed can not move sideways. These casters are usually connected at the opposite end of the push handle. The legs are 1/4″ thick with an axle diameter of 1/2″, compatible with wheels that have a 2 7/16″ hub width. Stamped steel construction. Rigid casters are capable of carrying more weight than swivel casters because there is no offset, nevertheless both rigid and swivel casters are displayed with the same capacity on our website. Ideal for paper mills, lumber yards, and wood products manufacturing. Additional mounting plate sizes and bearing types can be ordered on request. This caster is also available in 304 Stainless Steel for wet or corrosive environments.

The UAO industrial caster wheel comes with a flexible polyurethane, crown tread tire which helps with efficiently changing directions while supporting heavy loads. The Durometer is 90A and the wheel offers a semi-cushioned ride and is flexible enough to climb over small debris, door jambs, and expansion joints. This orange polyurethane on aluminum industrial caster wheel is lighter than standard polyurethane on iron wheels. Polyurethane caster wheels roll easier under the same load as rubber wheels on a smooth floor. This caster wheel offers superior load capacity compared to hard composition or metal wheels with enhanced floor protection. The aluminum hub is lightweight and able to withstand some impacts. This caster wheel comes with high-efficiency, maintenance-free precision sealed ball bearings. This caster wheel requires minimal effort to start, turn, or maintain a rolling load. The bonding agent which holds the polyurethane tire to the aluminum center can be affected by exposure to some chemicals, impact, overloading, and the buildup of heat. Ideal for warehouse distribution, logistics operations, and light duty industrial carts.
