Description
5″ All Polyurethane Wheel. This Total Locking Stainless Caster Model 3A is our stainless steel total locking institutional caster which uses the same Model 3 1-¼” wide wheels. This caster is made using a stamped steel construction. The center pin of This plate caster is a ½” diameter steel rivet which holds the swivel raceways together and the diameter of the axle bolt is ⅜”. Plate Caster Model 3A caster brackets have two rows of ball bearings rotating on raceways for smoother swiveling. There is a solid cover over the swivel raceways to shield them from dirt and dust. This plate caster performs best if you limit the load to no more than 1200 lbs on a set of 4 Model 3A casters. The Total Locking Stainless Caster Model 3A is great for hospitals.
This solid all polyurethane industrial caster wheel was developed for sanitary and washdown applications, and is capable of rolling indoors or outdoors. The blue all polyurethane (“AP”) caster wheel is manufactured in 1-¼” and 2” wide; with diameters ranging from 3”-5” and 4”-8”. Caster City manufactures this (“AP”) blue all polyurethane wheel to come with a roller bearing, delrin bearings, or a sealed precision ball bearing and all bearing options are available in stainless steel as well. The temperature range of this industrial caster wheel is -50°to 180° F and the durometer of the polyurethane is Shore 60D.
These wheels are non marking and non conductive. The absence of a metal center eliminates bond failure as a cause for wheel replacement. These caster wheels are especially suited for use with stainless steel casters in wet and corrosive applications. They are designed for use in Pharmaceutical Laboratories, Hospitals, and Food Processing Plants – wherever a clean sanitary design is desired. These wheels are not recommended for applications involving shock, overloading, abuse, obstructions, poor floors, or for storage (standing) loads. Hardness is 60 – 65 Durometer Shore D. Temperature range is -20° to 180° F.
These wheels are designed for use in a wet environment and they eliminate the possibility of tire separation.
