Description
The Economy Model K3 Stainless Steel Stem Caster by Caster City is manufactured from 304 stainless stamped steel for corrosion resistance in wet and washdown environments. This swivel stem caster installs directly into equipment socket holes without drilling or bolting. Choose from threaded, grip ring, or expanding adapter stems to match your mounting requirements. Two rows of ball bearings on polished smooth raceways deliver reliable swivel action while the open design without dust cap or grease fitting ensures water drains after each washdown. The swivel assembly is secured by a 1/2″ diameter rivet and features a 3/8″ diameter axle. Up to 350 lbs per caster capacity depending on wheel and stem type; 1,000 lbs max recommended per set of 4. NSF listed and RoHS compliant for prep tables, ingredient carts, and deli display equipment.
The solid blue all polyurethane caster wheel makes an excellent wheel for sanitary and washdown applications. Solid polyurethane wheels are fantastic solutions for heavy wash-down and food grade environments. These solid all polyurethane caster wheels are non-marking and non-conductive. The absence of a metal center eliminates bond failure as a cause for wheel replacement. The solid polyurethane wheel provides a one piece molded solution which eliminates the issues of tread bond failures making them durable solutions for tough environments. These caster wheels are especially suited for use with stainless steel casters in wet and corrosive applications. Caster City manufactures this “AP” blue all polyurethane wheel to come with a roller bearing, Delrin bearings, plain bore, or a sealed precision ball bearing and all bearing options are available in stainless steel as well. The temperature range of this industrial caster wheel is -20° to 180°F and the durometer of the polyurethane is Shore 60-65D. These wheels are not recommended for applications involving shock, overloading, abuse, obstructions, poor floors, or for storage (standing) loads. Ideal for pharmaceutical laboratories, hospitals, food processing plants, and wherever a clean sanitary design is desired.
