Description
Caster City’s Economy Stainless Steel Model K3 Stem Caster is a corrosion-resistant swivel caster constructed from 304 stainless stamped steel for wet processing and washdown duty. This stem caster installs into equipment socket holes without requiring a bolt-on plate. Threaded, grip ring, and expanding adapter stems provide versatile mounting options. Polished smooth raceways with a double ball bearing swivel deliver consistent performance while the open design removes the dust cap and grease fitting to promote full water drainage after sanitation. The 3/8″ diameter axle holds the wheel and the 1/2″ diameter rivet secures the swivel assembly. Up to 350 lbs per caster depending on wheel and stem; limit 1,000 lbs per set of 4. NSF listed and RoHS compliant for maple syrup production, honey processing, and natural sweetener packaging equipment.
Polyolefin wheels are injection molded from a blend of thermoplastic polymers forming a durable one-piece solid sanitary design. Available in heavy duty flat tread or crown tread donut shaped configurations. Bearing options include plain bore, sealed ball bearings, stainless steel precision sealed ball bearings, roller bearings, or Delrin bearings. Hard, non-marking, and non-conductive. Excellent abrasion resistance and impact absorption. Especially suited for wet and corrosive applications. Cannot develop flat spots when parked for prolonged periods. May become brittle in cold, dry environments. Should not be used in freezers or heat applications above 180°F. Requires smooth floor surface. Ideal for bakeries, food processing, and dairies.
