High Temperature Wheels with a prefix โNPโ in the part number are made of nylon mixed with glass fiber. They perform best in moist heat applications such as in smokehouses, moist heat bakery and autoclave applications and around water and steam such a pressurized steam-autoclave. Temperature Rating: Up to 425ยฐ F forย continuous operation. Then allow to cool to room temperature. If used above 425ยฐ for more than 30 minutes continuous operation it will reduce the life of the wheel.ย Maximum Temperature range is 475ยฐ F – 550ยฐ F intermittently. High Temperature Glass-Filled Nylon wheels are not recommended for dry heat applications because once the moisture content of the wheel gets to zero, the wheel will shatter.
The High Temperature Phenolic Wheels ( prefix โTPโ ), the High Temperature Glass-Filled Nylon wheels ( prefix โNPโ ), Wheels have a hard surface and should be used on smooth floor surfaces. If the floors are rough or if there are obstructions which will impact these wheels it will reduce the service life of the wheels. In any high temperature application it is always best to shield High Temperature Wheels from a direct heat intake source.
High Temperature Phenolic Wheels have a prefix โTPโ in the part number and are made with glass fiber. They are best suited for dry heat applications such as powder coating, dry heat bakery ovens and dry heat autoclaves. Temperature Rating: Up to 475ยฐ F for continuous operation. Then allow to cool to room temperature. If used above 475ยฐ F for more than 30 minutes continuous operation it will reduce the life of the wheel.ย Maximum temperature is 525ยฐ F.
Our HTR high-temperature sterilizer caster wheels, offered in 3″, 4″, and 5″ diameters with a 1.25″ width, boast an engineered rubber tire fused to a stainless core, crafted to deliver whisper-quiet rolling in animal testing labs to avoid startling animals and safeguard delicate cargo. Built to endure autoclave cycles at 15 PSI steam pressure and 250ยฐF for 15โ20 minutes or 29 PSI at 273ยฐF for 6 minutes, these wheels handle up to 300ยฐF for 1 hour in sterilizers, steam retorts, or high-heat environments like bakeries and aerospace facilities. The soft, non-marking rubber tread ensures a gentle, vibration-dampening ride on smooth floors, with the 4″ wheel (200 lbs capacity, stainless ball bearings, 3/8″ axle bushing) and 5″ wheel (300 lbs capacity, bronze bearing, 1/2″ axle) protecting surfaces while resisting water, oils, and cleaning agents. Paired with corrosion-resistant stainless steel swivel casters, these wheels provide hygienic, reliable mobility for lab sterilizers and high-temperature applications demanding quiet performance.
Our high-temperature soft rubber autoclave caster wheels, available in 3″, 4″, and 5″ diameters with a 1.25″ width, are crafted for silent, smooth operation in animal testing laboratories, preventing disturbance to sensitive animals. Mounted on corrosion-resistant stainless steel swivel casters, these wheels support up to 300 lbs and endure rigorous autoclave conditions, including 15 PSI steam pressure at 250ยฐF for 15โ20 minutes or 29 PSI at 273ยฐF for 6 minutes, as well as steam retorts up to 300ยฐF. The non-marking soft rubber tread glides quietly on smooth surfaces, absorbing vibrations to maintain a peaceful lab environment, while resisting water, oils, and cleaning solutions for easy wash-downs. Perfect for test labs demanding hygiene and quiet mobility, these high-temp casters deliver dependable performance and durability in high-heat, high-pressure sterilization settings.
The above wheels with 1 1/4โณ and 1 1/2โณ tread width have plain bores and a bushing(s) to fit onto a 3/8โณ axle. Wheels with a 2โณ tread width have a 3/4โณ ID Roller Bearing or Bronze Bearing and come with a steel spanner bushing to fit onto a 1/2โณ axle. Some sizes are available with a 3/4โณ Plain Bore upon request.
You should never select on the basis of load capacity alone. There is no industry standard for load capacity ratings and they may not include a factor for abuse. Our capacity ratings are below what the casters are capable of carrying because most applications have less than perfect conditions. Please refer to the information shown at the bottom of this page.
