ERGX Caster with 1.25″ Wide Ergonomic Polyurethane Wheel
Model 3 Rigid Plate Caster is the matching rigid plate caster for the Model 3 Swivel Caster. The top plate is 2-3/8″ x 3-5/8″ with a 1-3/4″ x 3″, slotted to 1-3/4″ x 2-7/8″ for a 5/16″ mounting bolt size. This caster has a 3/8″ diameter bolt axle with a locking nut and accepts 1-1/4″ and 1-1/2″ wide wheels. The rigid is welded leg construction. Multiple wheels and brake options are available. When manually pushing equipment supported by 4 swivel casters it can be difficult to control the travel direction. Rigid casters are used to control the direction when equipment is being moved in a straight line. Equipment with rigid casters can not move sideways. Ideal for craft room storage, art studio equipment, and workshop tool carts. This plate caster is NSF listed. This caster is also available in Stainless Steel for wet or corrosive environments.
This ergonomic orange polyurethane on polyolefin caster wheel is injection molded with a non-marking polyurethane tire bonded to a polyolefin center. The ergonomic design provides easier rolling and reduced push force compared to standard polyurethane on polyolefin wheels. These wheels are suited for hospitals, food service, schools, and bakeries. The polyurethane tire withstands many chemicals and solvents and rolls easier than gray rubber. The durometer is 90-95A for noise dampening and vibration reduction. This wheel comes with a sealed ball bearing protected with plastic spanner bushings that reduce the inner diameter of the axle and act as thread guards. Injection molded polyurethane wheels should not be left standing under load for extended periods. Ideal for ergonomic material handling, institutional equipment, and applications where reduced operator effort is a priority.
