Description
Caster City produces the Stainless Steel Model 3 Swivel Stem Caster as a premium stainless option for stem-mount applications demanding sealed swivel bearings and corrosion resistance. This 304 stainless stamped steel caster is buffed to a reflective finish and inserts into socket holes with grip ring, threaded, expanding adapter, or square and round metal stems. Two rows of ball bearings on polished stainless raceways ensure smooth swiveling. High-temperature white seals rated -20°F to 450°F, a grease fitting, and a dust cover protect and service the swivel. The swivel is held together by a 1/2″ diameter rivet and features a 3/8″ diameter axle with lock nut. Up to 350 lbs per caster capacity depending on stem type. Uses 1-1/4″ wide wheels. NSF listed and RoHS compliant. Ideal for olive oil bottling, vinegar production, and condiment manufacturing operations with socket-type equipment.
Polyolefin wheels are injection molded from thermoplastic polymers forming a one-piece solid sanitary design that prioritizes durability and hygiene. Available in heavy duty flat tread or crown tread donut shaped. Bearing options include plain bore, sealed ball bearings, stainless steel precision sealed ball bearings, or Delrin bearings. Especially suited for wet and corrosive applications due to outstanding resistance to most commonly encountered liquids. Hard, non-marking, and non-conductive material. Cannot develop flat spots when parked for prolonged periods. The slightly crowned tread enhances rollability and maneuverability. Should be used above 32°F and below 180°F. May become brittle in cold, dry environments like refrigerated storerooms. Ideal for dairies, meat packaging, and laundries.
