Total Locking Casters – Stainless Caster Model 9 

Industrial Caster Mounting Plate – 4″ x 4 1/2″

Capacity up to 1200 pounds per caster. Stainless steel casters are ideal for use in a wet or corrosive environment. Typical applications include Pharmaceutical Laboratories and Food Processing Plants.

The wheels featured with Stainless Caster Model 9 are non-marking. Use the Polyolefin ( Industrial Plastic ) wheel for “Standing Loads”. Polyolefin wheels eliminate the possiblilty of a flat spot developing if the castered equipment is left parked for a prolong period.

If a caster failure occurs it is almost always because of misuse or abuse. It has been very rare that a product failed because of faulty material or poor workmanship. The following are examples of things that we do NOT want you to do:

  1. Dragging the wheel sideways.
  2. Shock or Impact caused by dropping the load instead of setting it down on the castered equipment.
  3. Improper Installation such as:
    A. Rigid casters not installed parallel to one another.
    B. Swivel casters not installed parallel to the floor.
    C. Using less than 4 bolts to attach the mounting plate.
    D. Distortion of the swivel bearing when attaching the mounting plate due to welding improperly.
  4. Exceeding the rated capacity of the wheel or caster.
  5. Exceeding a rolling speed of 3 MPH.
  6. The build up of heat caused by continuous operation causing tire separation.

Swivel Radius Information:

The Total Locking Option ( TL ) changes the Swivel Radius of the caster to the following; 4″, 5″ and 6″ diameter wheels = 6 1/2″ Swivel Radius 8″ diameter wheel = 7 1/2″ Swivel Radius. Maximum Capacity under ideal conditions. If your application exceeds 40 minutes at the maximum temperature rating for these wheels, contact us.

Our capacity ratings are below what the casters are capable of carrying because most applications have less than perfect conditions. Please refer to the information shown at the bottom of this page.
